Tadeu Carneiro, CEO of Boston Metal, expressed his pride in the achievement, stating that this milestone is just the beginning. He emphasized that Boston Metal’s high-value metals business will rapidly expand and support the scaling of the MOE platform to meet the increasing global demand for green steel.

In Brazil, Boston Metal aims to help mining companies recover value from waste materials, thereby promoting a circular economy for the metals industry. The MOE technology extracts valuable metals from complex, low-concentration materials using electricity, transforming waste into new revenue streams and reducing financial and environmental liabilities for mining companies.

Itamar Resende, president of Boston Metal do Brasil, praised the dedication and expertise of the team and highlighted the company’s commitment to excellence in transforming the future of metallurgical production with its high-value metals business.

Boston Metal is now focusing on the next phase of its operations in Brazil, which includes expanding its local team from 80 to over 250 employees in the coming years. Additionally, the company has been selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to establish a chromium metal manufacturing plant in Weirton, West Virginia, further demonstrating its commitment to advancing sustainable metals production globally.
