
Matches of Pro Kabaddi League have gotten rescheduled after an unspecified number of players from two teams tested positive for COVID-19.
The organizers of PKL in a Monday night statement said that the players who are affected by the virus have been put into isolation. There have been some changes in the matches scheduled between January 25 and 30.
The Mashal Sports organizers said in a statement that after successful completion of the first half of the league stage, out of twelve PKL teams, two teams are struggling with the required number of 12 players for their respective matches as their players have tested positive for COVID-19.
They further said that to ensure the continuity of matches in the environment currently, Mashal Sports together with all the PKL teams have taken charge of rescheduling some of the matches and continue to analyze the situation.
The number of positive cases and the two teams affected by the virus have not been specified by the organizers.
Currently, the season is being run in a strict bio-bubble arrangement in Bengaluru.
The organizers emphasize that the health of the players continues to be the top priority for them, affected players have been timely isolated following COVID-19 safety protocols.
