PKL: Dabang Delhi KC to clash with Gujarat Giants, Bengal warriors to take on Telegu Titans

Bengal Warriors will need to have a good second half of the season to book their place in the top 4 after having a jittery start. Captain Maninder Singh has led from the front with multiple super 10s, but his teammates are often failing to support.

Dabang Delhi KC will be focusing to stop their bad run of form when they clash with Gujarat Giants on Saturday in the Pro Kabaddi League season 8. The second game of the night will be Bengal Warriors going one on one with Telegu Titans.

Due to the absence of Naveen Kumar, Delhi was struggling and will now be expecting their experienced players to put in some wisdom against the seasoned Gujrata defence. Naveen Kumar’s absence has obstructed Delhi’s strategies.

Initially, they were in great form in the league but are now secure their spot in the top 4. Delhi lost three of the last five matches but it looks there is very little coach Krishan Kumar Hoodacan do to motivate them.

Sandeep Narwal and Vijay have been the only consistent players to help Delhi stay in the game. Sandeep Narwal has to maintain his form in the upcoming match against Gujarat. His surprising raiding style and defence skills make him a clever player on the mat.

But Gujarat having experienced defenders like Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal can be a threat for Sandeep and will definitely guide the team to not commit to the advanced skills.

Bengal Warriors will need to have a good second half of the season to book their place in the top 4 after having a jittery start. Captain Maninder Singh has led from the front with multiple super 10s, but his teammates are often failing to support.

Coach BC Ramesh would be happy that his Iranian all-rounder Mohammad Nabibakhsh is coming back in form. If he would able to give adequate backup to the captain, it will benefit Bengal, especially Ran Singh contributing his steadiness into defence.

So far, Telegu Titans have had only one win in the season. With Siddharth Desai and Rajnish still undergoing injuries, the raiding responsibilities will once again depend on the shoulders of Adarsh T and Ankit Beniwal. Both of them have potential but the Titans would need more consistency to sustain in the game.

Left corner Sandeep Kandola will need an impeccable night to tackle Bengal Tigers’ Maninder Singh, losing only one in their past five matches.
