Sooryavanshi show lights up Guwahati as RR dominate chase

Rajasthan Royals made a flying start in their chase against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, driven by a stunning knock from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in Guwahati.

Chasing 202, Rajasthan lost Yashasvi Jaiswal early to Josh Hazlewood, but Sooryavanshi immediately took charge. He raced to a rapid fifty, striking boundaries and sixes with ease, putting RCB under pressure from the start.

The young opener dismantled the bowling attack, hitting cleanly over the infield and clearing the ropes regularly. RCB’s bowlers, including Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Abhinandan Singh, struggled to contain him as RR flew past the early phase.

Sooryavanshi’s fearless strokeplay set the tone for the chase, with Rajasthan reaching 73/1 in just five overs. His partnership with Dhruv Jurel kept the momentum firmly with the visitors.

With RR needing 129 from 90 balls, the teenager’s dominant start has put them in a strong position in the high-scoring contest.
