Fan left in tears after brief lobby moment

A short video circulating online shows Virat Kohli walking through a hotel lobby with earbuds on during IPL 2026. A young fan, holding a bat, steps forward asking for an autograph. Kohli keeps moving and does not stop. The clip, around 30 seconds long, has drawn mixed reactions. Some viewers felt for the child, who is seen getting upset after the moment passes.

Others said the situation may have been misread, pointing out Kohli might not have noticed in a crowded setting. There has been no response from the player or the franchise so far.

RCB bowlers set up one-sided win

On the field, Royal Challengers Bengaluru had already done the damage. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood broke Delhi Capitals in the powerplay. Bhuvneshwar took 3 for 5, removing the top order with late swing. Hazlewood picked 4 for 12, including two in his first over. Delhi were 13 for 6 after six overs, the lowest powerplay total in IPL history.

Suyash Sharma (1 for 7) and Krunal Pandya (1 for 9) kept the pressure on. Abishek Porel top-scored with 30, but there was little support as Delhi were bowled out for 75.

Kohli milestone as chase ends quickly

The chase was finished in 6.3 overs. Devdutt Padikkal attacked early, while Kohli played a steady hand. During the innings, Kohli became the first player to reach 9000 runs in IPL history, with no one close to that mark.

The win, with 82 balls remaining, is among the biggest in the tournament and one of the fastest chases recorded. Delhi’s 75 is their third-lowest total, while 13 for 6 is now the lowest powerplay score in IPL history. For Bengaluru, it was a result built entirely in the first six overs.

With this big win, their net run rate has improved significantly. They are now in second place on the points table, and their next match is against Gujarat Titans on 30 April in Ahmedabad.
