Sandeep Sharma reached a major milestone while denting Royal Challengers Bengaluru late in the innings, claiming his 150th IPL wicket with the dismissal of Rajat Patidar.

Sandeep marks milestone with key wicket

The moment came in the 18th over as Sandeep used a slower full delivery to deceive Patidar, who was looking to continue the late push. The RCB captain went for a big hit but failed to get the distance, offering a catch in the deep. After the wicket, Sandeep looked up, pointed to the sky and made a brief gesture, showing the significance of the milestone.

Patidar’s knock of 40 had held the innings together during a difficult phase. With wickets falling regularly, he remained the main contributor, trying to keep the scoring rate intact.

RCB push past early trouble

Despite losing wickets, RCB moved to 171/8 after 18 overs, recovering from a shaky middle phase. The late overs saw some intent, helping them push towards a competitive total.

Patidar’s effort stood out as a lone resistance, giving RCB something to build on. With only the tail left, the focus shifted to batting out the remaining overs and adding as many runs as possible before the innings closed.
