N’Golo Kanté could be on the verge of an unexpected new chapter in his career as Fenerbahçe move closer to securing a final agreement for the French midfielder in a deal that may trigger a wider transfer chain across Europe and the Middle East.
According to reports, negotiations between Fenerbahçe and Al Ittihad have advanced significantly, with Kanté positioned as a central figure in a proposed agreement that also involves Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri. The Turkish giants are working on a package that would see Kanté arrive in Istanbul, while En-Nesyri could head to Al Ittihad if Karim Benzema leaves the Saudi Pro League club this summer.
The deal is structured with Kanté plus a reported €10 million fee forming part of the conditions to facilitate En-Nesyri’s potential transfer. While Benzema’s future remains uncertain, Al Ittihad are already exploring attacking reinforcements, making En-Nesyri a key target should their captain decide to move on.
For Fenerbahçe, signing Kanté would represent a major statement of intent ahead of the new season. Despite his age and recent injury history, the former Chelsea and France star still carries enormous experience and leadership, qualities the Turkish side believes could be decisive in domestic and European competitions.
