Ahmedabad-based Zydus Cadila Healthcare created the possible COVID-19 vaccine. Government sources stated that they received nods from the Indian Drugs Controller General (DCGI) for clinical human trials on Thursday.

Therefore on Thursday DCGI Dr V G Somani approved the Corona Virus Vaccine for phase I and phase II clinical trials (on humans). An authoritative source of information told PTI.
