Solarworld Energy Solutions has received a significant boost to its order book after being awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for a large-scale solar power project in India. The company has been issued a Letter of Award by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited for the development of a 250 MWac grid-connected Solar PV project.
The order, valued at approximately ₹725.33 crore including taxes, has been awarded by a domestic entity and falls entirely under the EPC scope. Under the terms of the contract, Solarworld Energy Solutions will be responsible for the complete execution of the project, covering engineering design, procurement of equipment, and construction activities required to commission the solar facility.
As per the award details, the 250 MWac solar project is scheduled to be completed within the financial year 2026–27, in line with the timelines specified in the contract. The project adds substantial capacity to India’s renewable energy infrastructure and aligns with the country’s ongoing push toward clean and sustainable power generation.
The company has clarified that there is no promoter or group interest involved in the awarding entity and that the contract does not fall under related-party transactions. This ensures transparency and arm’s length execution of the project.
