On Tuesday, April 13, Union Minister Santosh Gangwar and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Saroj Pandey tested positive for Covid-19.

As the BJP MP Saroj Pandey tests positive for COVID-19, she got admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi.

The BJP Rajya Sabha MP tweeted, “I got tested for COVID-19 yesterday due to poor health and my report is positive. In consultation with the doctors, I have been admitted to the AIIMS, New Delhi. All the people who have come in contact with me in the last days, they should all get their tests done.”

While Union Minister Santosh Gangwar also tested positive for COVID-19, but he is asymptomatic.

The Union Minister Santosh tweeted, “I want to let you know that my Corona report is positive. I do not have any kind of problem, but I request to everyone who came in contact with me, please follow the Corona safety rules. Together we will win from this epidemic. Thank you!”

In the last 24 hours, India reported 1,61,736 new COVID-19 cases and 97,168 patients got discharge, while 879 people died of this deadly virus. Total active cases in India is now around 12 lakhs. Total recovered patients in India are 1,22,53,697.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) also released the data that states 25,92,07,108 samples were tested up to April 12 including 14,00,122 samples tested yesterday.
