The famous Lalbaughcha Raja Ganesh Mandal to not hold ganesh utsav this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic and considering the huge number of cases in the country and most of them coming from Mumbai, Maharashtra.

In an interaction with Moneycontrol, Sudhir Sitaram Salvi, part of the Lalbaugcha Raja said, “We are cancelling the celebrations this year. Instead, we will utilise the 11 days to organise blood donation and plasma donation activities. The next Ganesh Chaturthi celebration will be in September 2021 for Lalbaughcha Raja.”

The 87 years old famous Mumbai’s Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav mandal announced a 11-Day blood donation camp instead of celebrations this year. The mandal is known for its social activities like blood donation camps and relief camps from years and will continue doing the same this year too. Top Bollywood , Political and Business personalties worship the Ganesh Idol every year.

Lalbaug Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal – has decided that will bring-in only a four-foot idol, while online darshan will be organised so people can take part in the Ganeshotsav from their homes.
