
The government of Goa relaxed travel restrictions for interstate travellers by removing the rule that requires them to produce COVID-19 negative certificate on arrival and testing. The decision came after Centre announced the Unlock 4 guidelines which detailed the fourth phase of easing lockdown restrictions.

The official handle of Airports Authority of India, Goa International Airport tweeted the decision on Tuesday, “As per announcements by the Govt of Goa restrictions on interstate travel have been removed in line with guidelines of Govt of India. No more Covid19 -ve report and no more test requirements for Domestic travelers.”
Following this, it also tweeted, “Goa Intn’l Airport on upswing. AirIndia starts the connection between Goa and Surat from 6th Sept onwards. The flight initially on Sundays, arriving Goa from Surat at 1005 hrs and departing to Surat at 1105 hrs.”
