India’s Coronavirus tally has reached 7,42,417 with 22,750 fresh cases reported in the last 24 hours. The country now has a total of 2,64,944 active cases while the recoveries have increased to 4,56,831. The total number of fatalities recorded till date stands at 20,642.

Yesterday, the Coronavirus tally crossed the 7 lakh mark and the death toll also rose to 20,000. But on a positive side, the recovery rate has been improving in the past few days and now stands at 61.5%.

The Indian state that has been worst-affected by the Coronavirus pandemic is Maharashtra.
The state has recorded the most number of cases (2,17,121) and the maximum number of fatalities (9,250) as well.
The number of active cases of the state stands at 89,313.

Tamil Nadu has reported over 1,18,594 Coronavirus cases and the death toll stands at 1,636.
As of now, a total of 71,116 patients have been cured or recovered while 45,842 cases are still active.

India’s national capital Delhi has recorded 1,02,831 cases.
Over 3,165 patients have succumbed to the Coronavirus infection.

India is the third worst-affected nation across by the globe. The United States has over 2.8 million Coronavirus cases whereas Brazil has over 1.6 million patients. India overtook Russia last week with over 1.15 crore cases.
