As relaxations were introduced under Unlock-1 from June 1, India reported about 3.8 lakh cases in the month of June alone. Around two-thirds of the cases have been reported by Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Tuesday and said that people are not taking precautions and following the rules as they did during the lockdown. This has been a cause of worry.
He added that India is in a better position compared to many countries. The early imposition of the lockdown has helped save many lives. But there is increasing negligence in personal and social behaviour during the unlock phase. He expects people to be more careful and follow the guidelines in order to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.
