Work from home policy

Amazon has extended work from home policy till 8th January, 2021 of it corporate workers.

Earlier it was till October,2020.

Thee looming fear of pandemic probably till next year has lead the company to take this decision.

It has asserted that the priority of its workers’ health  comes first. However this policy applies only for corporate workers. Warehouse workers are exempted from this policy.

Amazon  on calling warehouse workers at work clarified that they are considered essential for dilevery of products to Americans,who are at there home.

“We continue to prioritize the health of our employees and follow local government guidance, Employees who work in a role that can effectively be done from home are welcome to do so until January 8.”

The company said to the sources.

Earlier warehouse workers were given $2 per hour and they could take leave without being questioned. But this policy has been revoked and now workers need to state reason formally for their leave.

This extended policy has led to dissentment in warehouse workers,leaving them vulnerable to Covid 19 disease without any back support. They have alleged the company for it’s biased attitude towards corporate workers.
