
52 Lakh students educated in RIL’s Jio and Haryana Government Agreement. The Government of the state of Haryana and Reliance Jio TV has struck a partnership deal. Furthermore, it is approximately going to benefit around 52 Lakh school children in rural areas. This new agreement was filed under the Chief Minister’s Distance Education Program. Because, it will maximize educational provisions in rural areas for those less fortunate. However, without risking the social distancing during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Education For All
State Education Minister Kanwar Pal on Tuesday made an exclusive announcement. According to him, under the agreement, all four channels of Eduset will now be available. Officially on the Jio platform free of cost for students to learn.
Although, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic the state is facing difficulties. Firstly, in providing education to school children. Especially those in backward economic and rural setups. Since, the agreement will help students to watch all four channels of Eduset. Devices like television, laptop, desktop, tablet and smart phone will ease access to learning.
But to ensure that knowledge reaches all children. The broadcast content on television will also be available for a week. So that students can watch it according to their convenience and time.
The minister claimed that this new initiative will benefit 52 Lakh Hindi and English medium students. Which are studying in both government and private schools. Under the Haryana School Education Board, the CBSE Board and other boards.
He also further stated hat with 94 Lakh Jio subscribers in the state. It will be easier to access Reliance Jio TV. Majority of the state is already subscribed to the telecom firm.
Students preparing for competitive exams like JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). And NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) will also get separate material. Since, the Distance Education Program has been running since 15th April. The agreement with Reliance Jio TV will benefit students in the remote areas, according to the minister.
Multiple charities and non-profit organizations are associated with RIL’s Jio. Therefore, it considers this task of true humanity, simply a duty. Although, 52 Lakh students educated, it will benefit from the increased gross revenue. Mukesh Ambani, Owner of the gigantic businesses has seen this Pandemic only as an opportunity to improve.
