In the broader market, silver prices per gram showed a consistent upward trend. One gram of silver rose from Rs 201 to Rs 204, while 10 grams increased from Rs 2,010 to Rs 2,040. The 100-gram rate climbed from Rs 20,100 to Rs 20,400, marking a gain of Rs 300.
Major Indian cities recorded similar price movements. Chennai, Hyderabad and Kerala reported higher prices at Rs 2,150 for 10 grams, while cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Vadodara and Ahmedabad continued to trade at Rs 2,040 for 10 grams and Rs 20,400 for 100 grams. The 1-kg rate stood at Rs 2,15,000 in Chennai, Hyderabad and Kerala, and at Rs 2,04,000 across most metro cities.
A look at the 10-day trend shows steady momentum, with the silver rate rising from Rs 1,990 per 10 grams on December 10 to Rs 2,040 on December 12. The 1-kg price also increased from Rs 1,99,000 to Rs 2,04,000 over the same period.
