Domestic LPG and piped natural gas prices remained unchanged on May 26 even as Indraprastha Gas Limited raised CNG prices by ₹2 per kg, bringing some relief to households already dealing with rising fuel costs across the board.

City Domestic LPG (14.2 kg) Commercial LPG (19 kg)

Mumbai ₹912.50 ₹3,024.00
Kolkata ₹939.00 ₹3,202.00
Chennai ₹928.50 ₹3,237.00

Latest PNG prices (per standard cubic metre)

City/Region PNG Price (₹/SCM)
Delhi ₹47.90
Noida ₹47.76
Gurugram ₹49.90
Mumbai ₹50.00
Kolkata ₹50.00
Chennai ₹50.00

PNG rates for home cooking have not been revised alongside today’s CNG hike. PNG is generally cheaper per unit than CNG for household use and tends to be more stable in pricing given its different procurement and distribution structure.

Today’s CNG hike is the fourth revision since mid-May, driven by elevated global natural gas prices following disruptions to energy supply chains linked to the Iran war and Strait of Hormuz shipping constraints. The cumulative CNG increase since May 15 now stands at ₹6 per kg across IGL-served areas.
