Gold prices showed minor variations across key Indian cities on Friday, January 9, 2026. 24-carat gold was highest in Chennai at ₹13,964 per gram, while it stood at ₹13,886 in Delhi. Cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala, and Pune reported ₹13,871 per gram for 24K gold. In Vadodara and Ahmedabad, 24-carat gold was priced slightly lower at ₹13,876 per gram.

For 22-carat gold, prices ranged between ₹12,715 and ₹12,800 per gram, with Chennai again quoting the highest rate at ₹12,800, followed by Delhi at ₹12,730. Most other metros, including Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala, and Pune, saw 22K gold priced at ₹12,715 per gram.

Meanwhile, 18-carat gold was priced at ₹10,680 per gram in Chennai, ₹10,418 in Delhi, and ₹10,403 per gram across major metros such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala, and Pune. Prices in Vadodara and Ahmedabad were marginally higher at ₹10,408 per gram.
