Gold prices across major Indian cities remained largely aligned on Wednesday, December 24, with minor variations seen in select locations due to local levies and logistics costs. Rates for 24-carat, 22-carat and 18-carat gold were mostly uniform across metros such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Chennai recorded the highest gold prices among major cities, with 24-carat gold priced at Rs 13,964 per gram, 22-carat at Rs 12,800, and 18-carat at Rs 10,675 per gram.

In Mumbai, 24-carat gold stood at Rs 13,893 per gram, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 12,735 and 18-carat gold at Rs 10,420 per gram. Similar rates were observed in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala and Pune, indicating broad price consistency across these regions.

Delhi saw slightly higher rates, with 24-carat gold priced at Rs 13,908 per gram, 22-carat at Rs 12,750, and 18-carat gold at Rs 10,435 per gram.

In western cities like Vadodara and Ahmedabad, gold prices were marginally higher than the national average. Both cities reported 24-carat gold at Rs 13,898 per gram, 22-carat gold at Rs 12,740, and 18-carat gold at Rs 10,425 per gram.

Overall, the city-wise gold prices reflect stable domestic trends, with variations largely driven by local taxes and jeweller margins. The rates remain indicative and do not include GST, TCS or making charges.
