
A TB 20 aircraft flown by a trainee pilot from the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA), crashed in Sarai Meer in Azamgarh district, Uttar Pradesh on Monday morning. It was a 4-seater plane and 2 of the people aboard jumped out of the aircraft with the help of a parachute. The trainee pilot was killed in the accident.
“The aircraft belonged to the Centre-run flying-training institute Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udan Akademi (IGRUA), located in Amethi and was being flown by the trainee pilot”, District Magistrate, Azamgarh, Rajesh Kumar said. The Azamgarh police and other senior officials are at the spot and overseeing the relief operation.
