All operations of the Air India Express to Dubai airports got suspended for 15 days by the Dubai Aviation Authority on Friday. This decision comes after a second COVID-19 positive person was found in one of the flights. All flights from September 18 to October 2 will be cancelled.
The airline, which has been operating flights under the Vande Bharat Mission to repatriate stranded Indians from the UAE, is also flying passengers eligible to return to the UAE from India under the air bubble agreement between the two countries.
Gulf News reorted that some passengers have started receiving messages that the flights on Friday have beeen rescheduled to Sharjah airport. A source confirmed to Business Upturn that some passengers are yet to receive any confirmation from the airlines as the helplines are unreachable.
