Yamaha has recently launched its latest range of Tracer 9 sports touring bikes, designed to set new standards in comfort, capability and tech integration. The lineup includes the Yamaha Tracer 9, Tracer 9 GT, Tracer 9 GT Y-AMT and Tracer 9 GT+. The GT+ model will only be available in the Y-AMT variant in the UK market.
The new models maintain Yamaha’s signature 890cc inline three-cylinder CP3 engine, delivering a thrilling 117 bhp and 92 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. However, a key innovation is the introduction of the Y-AMT automated manual transmission, previously featured on the MT-07. This clutchless transmission allows riders to shift gears effortlessly using buttons.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2025 Yamaha Tracer 9 looks completely different. This can be seen by a new fairing that makes room for a multi-element LED that gives the bike an aggressive look.
Regarding technology, the bike sports a 7-inch TFT dash panel that can be manually adjusted. The GT and GT+ models have an improved electrically operated screen. It enables Bluetooth connectivity. A radar-linked unified braking system, heated grips, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection and other features are also on the list.
