The Fortuner Leader Edition has been released by Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM). The updated version adds additional features and has minor visual modifications based on Fortuner 4×2 variations. Interested buyers may book the SUV online or by going to the dealership that is closest to them, deliveries are expected to start soon.
The company has not disclosed the pricing, but has stated that the Fortuner Leader Edition costs would be rolled out at dealerships based on “accessories fitted for the specific requirement”.
Talking about the design, the Fortuner Leader Edition has blacked-out 17-inch alloy wheels and the company is providing three dual-tone colour options: Super white, Platinum Pearl white and Silver Metallic, all of which have contrasting black elements. The SUV also receives unique front and rear bumper spoilers, which are included in its official list of extras and will be equipped by the dealership. Inside, the SUV comes with a dual-tone interior, a wireless charger and TPMS.
Mechanically, the Leader edition is the same. The SUV will be powered by a 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 201 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque in manual transmission and 500 Nm in automatic transmission. It comes with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic in a 4×2 guise.
