Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) marked a historic milestone in 2024, achieving its best-ever calendar year sales in India. The company sold a total of 3,26,329 units, reflecting a remarkable 40% year-on-year growth compared to 2023. Domestic sales contributed 3,00,159 units, while 26,232 units were exported.
December 2024 was also a standout month, with TKM recording 29,529 units sold—a 29% increase from December 2023. Domestic sales accounted for 24,887 units, while exports stood at 4,642 units.
SUVs and MPVs emerged as the key growth drivers, with models like the Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hilux leading the charge. According to Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at TKM, the SUV and MPV segments witnessed a robust 20% growth over the previous year.
Manohar highlighted a noticeable consumer shift towards sustainable vehicles, reflecting evolving preferences for eco-friendly mobility solutions.
