Tata Motors has taken a bold leap into the future of mobility with the unveiling of the Avinya X SUV concept at the 2025 Auto Expo. Set to debut in the Indian market in 2026, the Avinya X will be the first model from Tata’s new lineup of EVs, built on JLR’s cutting-edge Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA).
The Avinya X’s design marks a departure from the earlier Avinya concept showcased in 2023. It boasts a sharp, futuristic look with sleek T-shaped DRLs, vertically stacked headlamps, and a closed grille featuring a honeycomb pattern. The SUV’s coupe-inspired roofline flows seamlessly from the B-pillar before descending sharply at the C-pillar. At the rear, the sharply raked windscreen leads into a boot deck spoiler, while the taillights mimic the DRL design. Its muscular haunches and prominent wheel arches add a commanding presence to the otherwise clean, rounded silhouette.
Inside, the Avinya X continues its futuristic theme with a minimalistic cabin design. A large central touchscreen, a two-spoke steering wheel, and soft-touch materials on the dashboard enhance the premium feel. Sketches suggest the production model could include advanced features like a panoramic sunroof and driver-assistance systems for added comfort and safety.
The Avinya X is poised to redefine Tata’s EV lineup with its bold styling, cutting-edge platform, and premium features. Stay tuned as Tata Motors prepares to electrify the Indian market with this innovative SUV in 2026.
