Next-Gen Audi A6 to be revealed on March 4: Here’s what to Expect

Audi is gearing up to unveil the sixth-generation A6 on March 4, 2025, retaining its iconic nameplate after scrapping plans to rebrand it as the A7. This ICE-powered executive sedan will coexist with the A6 e-tron, its all-electric counterpart, which is already available in select global markets and expected to launch in India later this year.

Platform & Design

Unlike the A6 e-tron, which rides on Volkswagen’s PPE architecture, the ICE-powered A6 will utilize Audi’s PPC platform. The sedan is expected to adopt Audi’s latest design philosophy, aligning with the recently revealed Q5 and A5 models. Expect sleek Matrix LED headlights, a signature hexagonal grille, large vertical air intakes, and a striking full-width light bar at the rear.

Engine & Performance

The 2025 Audi A6 will offer a range of petrol and diesel engines, although India may not get the diesel option. The TFSI variants will feature a 2.0L turbo-petrol engine, while the TDI models are expected to come with a 2.0L turbo-diesel unit. Both engines will be equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Select markets may also receive an S6 variant with a 3.0L turbocharged V6.
