The much-anticipated Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, the first all-electric SUV from the company, made its global debut in Milan, Italy, on Monday. Set to be manufactured at Suzuki’s Gujarat plant, this electric SUV is the production version of the eVX concept car, which was showcased at the Indian Auto Expo 2023.
Equipped with Suzuki’s new ALLGRIP-e 4WD system, the e Vitara offers off-road capabilities that set it apart in the electric SUV segment. The system is tailored for drivers looking to explore varied terrains, making the e Vitara a versatile SUV suitable for both city commutes and off-road adventures.
The European-spec Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will come with two battery pack options: a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh, providing flexibility in range and performance. Although it remains unconfirmed if both options will be available in India, the multiple configurations offer promising adaptability for diverse driving needs. The power outputs will range between 142 bhp to 181 bhp, based on the battery and drive system selected.
