Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched the updated Hyundai Verna, bringing a refreshed design, upgraded technology, and enhanced safety features to India’s premium sedan segment. The new model continues the legacy of the Verna while targeting young buyers with Hyundai’s latest campaign titled “Respect the Young.”
The campaign celebrates the new generation of Indians who are confidently shaping their own paths across industries and society. According to the company, the updated Verna is designed to reflect the aspirations of these young achievers with its modern styling, powerful performance, and tech-focused cabin.
Bold design and larger dimensions
The new Hyundai Verna comes with a sharper and more dynamic design that aims to strengthen its premium positioning in the sedan market. The car features a black chrome radiator grille, dual LED projector headlamps, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Hyundai has also focused on cabin space and road presence. The sedan offers one of the longest wheelbases in its segment at 2,670 mm, along with a width of 1,765 mm and overall length of 4,565 mm, helping deliver improved passenger comfort and stability on the road.

The sedan includes an 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat, a 4-way electrically adjustable passenger seat, and a driver memory seat with welcome retract function, which is a first in the segment. Hyundai has also added a passenger seat electric walk-in device and a rear window sunshade.
Another highlight is the smart trunk with 528 litres of boot space, making it one of the largest luggage capacities available in the segment. Additional comfort features include ambient lighting, rear AC vents with USB Type-C ports, adjustable headrests, sliding front armrest storage, and a rear centre armrest with cupholders.
Advanced connected technology
Technology remains one of the biggest upgrades in the new Verna. The sedan now comes equipped with Hyundai Bluelink connected car technology, offering more than 70 connected features.
New additions include “Find My Car” through the surround view monitor, remote lamp control, and remote light-only control. The infotainment system also supports over 350 voice commands and multiple language options.

Other highlights include a wireless smartphone charger, ventilated front seats, smart key with push-button start, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an electric sunroof.
For audio enthusiasts, Hyundai has added a Bose premium 8-speaker sound system, along with a segment-first switchable infotainment and auto climate control interface.
Powerful turbo petrol engine options
Under the hood, the new Verna continues to offer two petrol engine options.
The 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission or Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). For performance enthusiasts, Hyundai offers the 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
The turbo engine produces 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful engines in the segment. Features such as paddle shifters, drive modes (Normal, Eco and Sport), and idle stop-and-go further enhance performance and efficiency.

Safety remains a major focus in the new Hyundai Verna. The sedan now offers over 75 safety features, including Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS with 20 advanced driver assistance features.
Segment-first safety highlights include seven airbags, including a centre side airbag, along with a built-in dashcam. Other additions include rain-sensing wipers and a surround view monitor.
