Hyundai Exter dual cylinder CNG launched at Rs 8.50 lakh; Check features

Hyundai Motor India Limited recently launched the new Exter CNG in the Indian market, featuring dual-cylinder technology. Three models will be offered: S, SX and Knight Edition. The Exter Hy-CNG Duo has a starting price of ₹8.50 lakh and goes up to ₹9.38 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. Tata Punch CNG, which also has dual-cylinder technology, will compete with the Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo.

The Exter Hy-CNG Duo will come with two tiny CNG cylinders instead of a large one, similar to the Tata Punch iCNG. This solves one of the main complaints about CNG cars: the lack of space for luggage. Additionally, Hyundai offers an Integrated Electronic Control Unit that should make switching from petrol to CNG or vice versa easier.
