BMW M 1000 XR launched in India at Rs 45 lakh

BMW Motorrad India has launched the new M 1000 XR in India, priced at ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom). The M 1000 XR is available as a fully built-up unit (CBU), and bookings have begun across India. The M Competition model is available in India, and it includes a variety of carbon fibre components like wheels, side panels, front wheel covers and more.

The bike’s appearance is stunning, with a unique high-gloss black paint that contrasts with the high-gloss carbon fibre side panels. The BMW M division hues add to the bike’s visual attractiveness.

The M 1000 XR has a slim tail section, a small windscreen and split LED headlights, among other muscular and sports design features. The bike stands out from its base model, the S 1000 XR, due to its aggressive and purposeful overall design.

A 999 cc inline-four engine that produces 201 bhp at 12,750 rpm and 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm powers the BMW M 1000 XR. BMW claims a maximum speed of 278 kmph and an acceleration time of 3.2 seconds from zero to 100 kmph.

Talking about suspension, the M 1000 XR has an adjustable monoshock at the back and a USD fork with ten-step adjustments. It has two tyres on its 17-inch wheels: a 200-section tyre in the back and a 120-section tyre at the front. Two discs—one in the back and one at the front—are used for braking.
