The highly anticipated Suzuki Jimny 5-door is set to make its debut in Australia following its launch in India. The off-roader has already been teased in the Australian market and is expected to hit showrooms in the near future.
Excitingly, it has been revealed that the Australian version of the Jimny 5-door will come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a feature absent in the Indian model.
This inclusion is a response to recent regulations imposed by Australian authorities, which require all new vehicles introduced from March 2023 onwards to have Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) as a standard safety feature.
This rule aims to enhance road safety, and it is crucial for the Jimny 5-door to comply with this requirement upon its launch in Australia.
It is worth noting that the Mahindra Scorpio N managed to avoid this rule, unlike the Jimny 5-door, as it was launched before the regulation came into effect.
