Tata Motors launch Tiago’s new NRG variant

The variant comes with a 2 years/75,000 km warranty and the Tata Tiago NRG would be competing with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Maruti Suzuki Swift.

On Wednesday, Tata Motors launched a new NRG variant of Tiago hatchback. The Tiago NRG would be available in 1.2 litre petrol engine in both, the 5-speed manual and automatic variants. The price for manual variant would be at Rs 6.46 lakh, and the price for the automatic variant would be Rs 7.09 lakh (ex-showroom).

During the BS4 to BS6 transition Tiago NRG was discontinued. The vehicle would be launched in four colours after a four star safety rating by GNCAP, the colours of the car would be Fire Red, Foresta Green, Snow White and Cloudy Grey.

The NRG variant is mechanically 10 mm higher than the regular variant with 181 mm ground clearance, this edition sports muscular body cladding as well.

The NRG variant interiors has an all black cabin and it is packed with 7 inch touch infotainment, the connectivity suit includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

For safety purposes, Tiago NRG has 2 airbags, reverse parking sensors and camera, ABS+EBD, and cornering stability control.

The VP, Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, PVBU, Rajan Amba of Tata Motors, had said that the NRG fits well with the growing trend of bringing more SUV type vehicles in the market, and it would also help them increase their brand’s presence, they were confident that their customers would appreciate the new Tiago NRG as much as the previous variant of the same.
