It has now been 3 months since the farmers launched their indefinite sit in in protest of the controversial Agricultural Bills. The protests on the bordering roads of Delhi had began on November 23, 2020 and have now entered their 90th day.
Vehicles entering Delhi from Uttar Pradesh have now been asked to redirect themselves since the Ghazipur border is completely closed down by the protestors. People from Uttar Pradesh have been asked to enter Delhi through Anand Vihar, DND, Loni DND and Apsara borders.
The roads bordering Delhi and Haryana too remain closed indefinitely as the protestors pledge to keep the roads blocked until the Central Government repeals the Farm Laws. Singhu, Tikri, Auchandi, Piau Maniyari and Saboli and Manges are completely inaccessible and the traffic moving between Delhi and Haryana is being redirected to Mukarba and GTK Road.
Indian National Congress (INC) General-Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be addressing the Kisan Panchayat in Palikheda (Mathura, Uttar Pradesh) in relation to the protests. This address will be a follow-up of several other meetings that have been held till now by the Kisan Panchayat.
The Kisan Mahapanchayat has plans to hold similar meeting in 27 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
