Former President Pranab Mukherjee has shown slight improvement in renal parameters following a renal dysfunction earlier but he still remains in a deep coma and on ventilator support.
“Hon’ble Shri Pranab Mukherjee is being treated for lung infection. His renal parameters have improved. He continues to be in deep coma and on ventilator support. He remains haemodynamically stable,” the Army Research and Referral Hospital said on Saturday. A patient is haemodynamically stable when the blood circulation parameters – blood pressure, heart and pulse rate, are stable and normal.
He has been in a coma since his critical brain surgery on 10th August. He was admitted to operate on a clot in his brain and tested COVID-19 positive a day before his surgery. Since then his health has worsened and he is currently being treated for a lung infection and is in intensive care.
