He also has interests in petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecom and retail and has seen a surge in value over the last year. His fortune stands at a huge 84.5 billion USD. He has moved up the ranks to the 10th spot, after ranking at number 21 in 2020. He quoted, “Anything and everything that can go digital is going digital. India cannot afford to be left behind.” Mukesh is Asia’s and India’s richest man.
2. Gautam Adani and Family
Gautam Adani controls Mundra Port which is the largest in India, in his home state Gujarat. He owns Adani Enterprises, Adani Green, Adani Total Gas, Adani Power. He has a net worth of 66.5 billion dollars USD. On May 21, 2021, Bloomberg reported that he is the second richest man in Asia.
3. Zhong Shanshan
He chairs Nongfu Spring, a bottled water company which is listed its shares in Hong Kong in September 2020. He was the third richest man in 2020. Zhong’s wealth rapidly growing from two billion USD to 68.9 billion USD in twelve months spotted him in number 14 in global rank.
4. Ma Huateng
He chairs Chinese Internet giant Tencent Holdings which is ranked among the nation’s largest businesses by market cap. Ma Huateng is the richest person in China for the third year in a row along with climbing from 290th to 15th spot in the global rankings. His net worth is 65.8 billion USD.
5. Colin Huang Zheng
He is the chairman of online discounter Pinduoduo which is one of China’s largest e-commerce sites. Colin climbed from 57 to 21st rank in the global rankings. He quoted, “I got to learn how to manage and accepted the status of being rich before I got rich.” Colin Huang Zheng has a net worth of 55.3 billion USD.
