Tirumala Tiruapati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer A V Dharma Reddy on Thursday said the ongoing Padmavati Ammavari Brahmotsavam at Tiruchanoor was being held in a grand manner with participation of devotees this year after two years of Covid pandemic.
Speaking to media here, he said the prestigious Lakshmi Kasula Haram of Srivaru was brought to Tiruchanoor to be decorated to Goddess Padmavati during Gaja and Garuda vahanas during the ongoing Karthika Brahmotsavam.
He said anticipating huge crowds, extensive arrangements are being made for the Panchami Thirtham fete on November 28.
Reddy said in view of the Gaja vahana, the favourite vahana of Goddess Padmavati, the precious and prestigious Lakshmi Kasulamala, after special pujas was brought to Tiruchanoor from Tirumala in a grand procession.
The Haram was first paraded on the sacred four Mada streets at Tirumala before transported to Tiruchanoor temple with VGO Bali Reddy and Srivari temple Peshkar Sri Srihari in attendance.
The Srivari Lakshmi Kasula Haram was brought in a vehicle amidst tight security to Pasupu Mandapam at Tiruchanoor where the TTD EO ceremonially handed over the Srivari precious ornament to the TTD Joint Executive Officer Veerabrahmam.
Later on after special pujas and amidst mangala vaidyam the Haram was taken inside Padmavati temple and adorned to the presiding deity inside the sanctum Sanctorum.
