Due to a heavy rain warning in Mumbai, all schools and colleges in the city will be closed on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, for the safety of students. This decision comes following a Red Alert issued by the India Meteorological Department.
Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani has directed all systems to be on alert and has advised citizens to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. He urged residents to follow instructions from the administration and contact the Disaster Management Cell at helpline number 1916 in case of emergencies.
The Municipal Corporation has assured that they are prepared to handle the situation to minimize inconvenience for Mumbai’s residents.
