Level 3 fire breaks out at Mankhurd scrapyard in Mumbai

An intense fire broke out in the eastern suburbs of Mankhurd, Mumbai on Friday 5th February 2021 at around 2:30 PM. No casualties have been reported as of yet.

According to initial reports, minimum 19 tenders were sent to the site and administration declared the level of intensity to be 3. An ambulance was also present.

The scrapyard was lit by flames of fire. The area is tightly packed due to the location of slums. The cause of the fire is unknown.

In similar news, earlier this week in Mumbai, a major fire broke out on the sets of Om Raut’s upcoming film ‘Adipurush’ in Goregaon on Tuesday evening. Officials announced that it was a Level-2 fire. No injuries were incurred in the incident.
