On Saturday, Delhi Police arrested accused S Mishra in the November 26 urinating case involving an Air India passenger from Bengaluru.
The police had summoned the pilot and other crew members to assist with the investigation.
According to Mishra’s lawyers, Ishanee Sharma and Akshat Bajpai, the WhatsApp messages between the accused and the lady show that the accused had the clothes and bags cleaned on November 28 and delivered them on November 30.
“The lady’s persistent grievance was only with respect to the adequate compensation being paid by the Airline, for which she filed a subsequent complaint on December 20, 2022,” according to the statement.
According to the statement, Mishra paid the agreed-upon compensation on PayTM on November 28, but the money was returned by the woman’s daughter on December 19.
“The accused has complete faith in the country’s judicial system and will cooperate with the investigation process,” it added.
The elderly female passenger on whom a man urinated on an Air India flight told the crew to have him arrested by airport police and not to bring him near her. “Police will establish the entire timeline of the incident, and the flight staff’s statements will be recorded,” reported PTI, citing a source in the know.
