Indian benchmark indices traded lower in midday trades on March 11, with selling pressure visible across several heavyweight stocks. As of 12:20 PM IST, the Nifty 50 was trading at 24,021.60, down 240.00 points or 0.99%, while the Sensex declined 868.48 points or 1.11% to 77,337.50. The Bank Nifty index also slipped 1.45% to 56,124.55, reflecting weakness in banking and financial stocks.

Among the top losers in the Nifty 50, Bajaj Finance fell 3.7% to ₹904.9, marking the steepest decline among the index constituents during the session. Mahindra & Mahindra followed with a 3.0% drop to ₹3,195.2, while Axis Bank declined 2.9% to ₹1,276.6.

Shares of Bajaj Finserv were down 2.7% at ₹1,816.7, and Bharti Airtel slipped 2.4% to ₹1,806.9 in midday trading.

In the banking space, HDFC Bank declined 2.1% to ₹831.9. Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto traded lower by 2.0% at ₹9,417.5.

Among other laggards, Tata Consumer Products fell 1.8% to ₹1,080.0, while Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles slipped 1.6% to ₹339.6. Eicher Motors also declined 1.6%, trading at ₹7,418.5.

Overall, the broader market sentiment remained weak during midday trading, with several financial, automobile, and consumer stocks contributing to the decline in the benchmark indices.
