Indian equity benchmarks traded in the green during midday deals on Friday, with both the Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex posting modest gains. The Nifty stood at 24,262.95, up 0.27%, while the Sensex was at 78,224.29, higher by 0.30%.

Amid the broader market strength, select Nifty 50 stocks emerged as top gainers based on percentage rise.

Hindustan Unilever led the gainers, rising 4.8% to trade at ₹2,241.2. Nestle India followed with a gain of 2.5%, trading at ₹1,288.3. Tech Mahindra and Asian Paints each advanced 1.8%, with their shares trading at ₹1,518.1 and ₹2,484.3 respectively.

Maruti Suzuki India recorded a gain of 1.6%, with the stock at ₹13,546. Reliance Industries moved up 1.4% to ₹1,361.6. Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, Tata Consumer Products, and ITC each rose 1.3%, trading at ₹7,654.5, ₹1,117.2, and ₹307.4 respectively.

Trent rounded out the list of top gainers, trading 1.2% higher at ₹4,133.1.
