Sugar stocks traded mostly in the green during early market hours today, with several names posting strong gains amid sector-specific momentum. As of 9:44 AM on April 1, 2025, the broader sentiment in the sugar sector remained upbeat, barring a few counters witnessing mild selling pressure.

Avadh Sugar led the rally, rising 4.67% to ₹469.60, followed closely by Dwarikesh Sugar, which gained 4.48% to ₹38.46. Dhampur Sugar advanced 3.32% to ₹123.74, while Dalmia Sugar moved up 3.17% to ₹372.40. Renuka Sugar added 2.50% to trade at ₹28.27, and Balrampur Chini was up 1.01% at ₹553.05.

On the downside, Triveni Engineering slipped 0.12% to ₹384.00, EID Parry declined 0.58% to ₹505.85 (approx), and Bajaj Hindustan fell 2.47% to ₹18.99, making it the worst performer among sugar stocks in early trade.

Overall, the sugar sector showed bullish momentum in early trade, with small and mid-cap sugar companies leading the charge, even as a few stocks lagged amid profit booking.
