Shares of Kernex Microsystems (India) witnessed a sharp rally of over 10% in moring trades after the company announced the receipt of a major domestic contract from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW). The order, valued at ₹2,465.71 crore, significantly strengthens Kernex Microsystems’ order book and reinforces its presence in India’s rapidly expanding railway safety and signalling segment.

The contract involves the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 3,024 sets of On-board KAVACH locomotive equipment. The execution will be carried out in accordance with RDSO Specification No. RDSO/SPN/196/2020, Version 4.0 or the latest applicable version. The entire scope of work is scheduled to be completed within 12 months from the date of the purchase order.

This order represents a key milestone for Kernex Microsystems, positioning the company as a critical contributor to Indian Railways’ ongoing push to enhance train safety through advanced indigenous technology. The KAVACH system, India’s flagship automatic train protection solution, is designed to prevent collisions, control train speed and improve overall operational reliability across the rail network. With the nationwide rollout of KAVACH gaining momentum, this contract places Kernex at the centre of one of the largest railway safety initiatives in the country.

From a strategic standpoint, the ₹2,465.71 crore order provides strong revenue visibility for Kernex Microsystems over the coming quarters.
