Delhi’s second ‘plasma bank’ under planning, operations will begin soon. On Monday, Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.Said that a second “plasma branch” is currently under planning. And is about to launch operations.
In a response to ANI regarding the progress of the LNJP plasma bank, Sisodia stated: “Preparations for the establishment of the second ‘plasma bank’ have been ongoing. Operations will begin shortly”. “We want to provide a safe environment to those who wish to donate plasma,” he added.
Once questioned regarding increase of the recovery rate and decline in the positive cases in Delhi, Sisodia said that it is a respite to Delhi. In Delhi there is improvement in the cases.The pace of recovery is increasing. More testing is being done,” he said.
“The Delhi government is celebrating Van Mahotsav and under that we have decided to plant 31 lakh saplings in the capital city. Every year, the green cover is growing and I thank the forest department for that,” he added.
The Delhi Plasma Bank was founded at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS). As India’s first ‘plasma bank.’ Patients who have only improved from COVID-19 are qualified for plasma donation.
