The Centre announced the States’ Startup Ranking 2019. For the year 2019, Kerala has bagged the “Top Performer” honour.
Kerala has emerged as one of the top performers in the States' Startup Ranking Framework 2019. The ranking is based on 7 broad reform areas consisting of 30 action points. The State has made it a priority to support startups; and it now has a thriving & vibrant startup ecosystem.

The rankings were declared in the presence of Piyush Goyal(Railways and Commerce Minister), Hardeep Singh Puri(Minister of State for Civil Aviation) and Som Parkash(Minister of State for Commerce and Industry).
Recognition was also given to Business Development Head of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), Ashok Kurian Panjikaran and CEO Kerala Startup Mission, Dr Saji Gopinath.
This recognition was given to Kerala for the second consecutive year.
