‘Thalaivi’ release postponed due to increasing COVID-19 cases

The second wave of the pandemic has caused many films, including Thalaivi, to postpone their releases.

Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film’s release is postponed and ‘Thalaivi’ will not release on April 23 like it was scheduled. A huge rise in the COVID-19 cases has led to lockdown-like situations in many states. The Maharashtra Government had ordered for all theatres and multiplexes to be closed down till April 30,

The team of the movie announced this recent development on Friday. Much to the disappointment of the fans, they stated, “As a team, we have sacrificed a lot in making this film and thank every member of the cast and crew who supported us in this challenging but remarkable journey. Since the film has been made in multiple languages, we would like to release it in all languages on the same day.”
