Meghna Gulzar scouts for locations to shoot for her next film ‘Sam Bahadur’ at Jamia Millia Islamia

Meghna Gulzar reportedly visited Jamila Millia Islamia to conduct a recce for her film Sam Bahadur.

According to sources, filmmaker Meghna Gulzar recently visited Jamila Millia Islamia to conduct a recce for her film Sam Bahadur, which is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. According to communication, filming would take place around October 10-15 for a few days if the university is chosen as the venue for the shoot. Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh star in the biopic, which also stars Sanya Malhotra.

Officials claim that the team surveyed a building when no students were there. Around January-February, the varsity also hosted a unit from Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,’ which stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The shooting took place near the varsity’s library, and Johar and Bhatt were present.

A source said “The ad shoots keep happening off and on while film shoots mostly happen in winter months or when the temperature is pleasant. During the pandemic, many web series and ad films were shot here. The Married Woman, a web series, was also shot here earlier. Another web series Feels Like Home, directed by Sahir Raza, who also made the Married Woman, was shot here in October last year,”
