Kangana Ranaut will have to wait longer for Thalaivi to restart, source reveals, it requires the crowd of 300 to film a climax scene

Nation went under complete lockdown in the end of March. No one was allowed to step out and thus all the shootings were stalled.

But with the implementing of lockdown 5.0, many permissions were granted with certain guidelines.
Bollywood is planning to go back on floors after a long wait of almost three months. Following the guidelines that have been provided by the state government, Bollywood is gradually set to resume shoots from June 15.
Many films were put on hold, but now they are all planning their schedules to get back to work. All the cast and crew of different films are drafting their schedules with safety measures and proper management amidst the pandemic. And one such film is Kangana Ranaut’s most anticipated, ‘Thalaivi’.

But it looks like the ‘Queen’ actor has to wait for a little while before she gets her foot back to the sets. Reportedly, the climax of Kangana’s ambitious, J Jayalalithaa biopic, the multi-lingual ‘Thalaivi’, requires her to shoot with a crowd of over 300 people, which is at odds with the current guidelines.

A source has revealed that Director AL Vijay wanted the resume the shoot at the Ramakrishna Cine Studios in Hyderabad. “In the climax, Kangana will be seen stepping out of the legislative assembly as a crowd awaits her. The makers wish to film the sequence on a large scale with 350 people. However, the current guidelines suggest that only 33 per cent of the original crew strength can be present. Since the makers intend to shoot the remaining portions in a start-to-finish schedule, they have decided to hold off the entire schedule until it is safe to shoot with a crowd,”
