Fans are really eager to see the dramatic finale to the historical narrative after watching the teaser for Ponniyin Selvan 2 that was just recently released. Based on the same-named book by Kalki Krishnamurthy, Mani Ratnam, Elango Kumaravel, and B. Jeyamohan, the film Ponniyin Selvan was created.
Princess Nandini and Crown Prince Aditha Karikaalan of the Chozha empire are shown in Ponniyin Selvan as having been romantically involved in the past, prior to Nandini being ousted from the Palace. It’s believed that the sequel to the blockbuster film will delve into their pasts and show how they came to be adversaries.
Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus will be the first South Indian film to be released in 4DX format. The 4DX format is widely used for big-budget films such as Shazam!, Fury of the Gods, and John Wick: Chapter 4.
The 4DX enables the inclusion of a variety of realistic effects, such as motion seats, fake snow, and strobe lights, providing a pleasurable moviegoing experience for first-timers. On this particular display type, the film is presented in stereo 2D and 3D.
Renowned cinematographer Ravi Varman photographed the movie, which was produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. Other members of the technical crew are production designer Thota Tharani and editor Sreekar Prasad.
